A Novel Device For Air Filtration

MECHANICAL FILTERS
These are the three mechanical filters that we're using in our product. They range from filters with larger pore sizes to smaller ones. The first one serves as a pre-filter, and the other two are more specialized in function.
01

Coars Filter
Coarse filters are often used as a pre-filtration stage in air filtration systems to remove larger debris, such as leaves, insects, and larger dust particles, before the air passes through finer filtration stages. They help extend the lifespan and efficiency of the finer filters downstream by preventing them from clogging prematurely with larger particles.
02
Active Carbon Filter
An active carbon filter, also known as activated carbon or charcoal filter, is a type of air filtration system that uses activated carbon as its main filtering medium. Activated carbon is a highly porous material with a large surface area, which makes it effective at adsorbing various gases, chemicals, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from the air.

03
Impregnated Carbon Filter
An impregnated carbon filter is a specialized filter enhanced with chemical agents to target and remove specific pollutants like VOCs, odors, and especially NH3, ensuring cleaner air or liquids in industrial and environmental applications.
Mechanical Filters:
Filtration Order
The Coarse filter, as the first stage of the filtration, plays a pivotal role. Designed with a relatively larger pore size, it excels at trapping and retaining larger particulate matter—think dust, pollen, and the coarse fraction of vehicular emissions. This mechanical filtration barrier not only prevents these particulates from infiltrating indoor spaces but also alleviates the burden on downstream filters.
Active Carbon filter harnesses the remarkable adsorptive capabilities of activated carbon to target the gaseous constituents of vehicular exhaust emissions—volatile organic compounds (VOCs), nitrogen oxides (NOx), and noxious odors. It achieves this by bonding these compounds to its porous carbon matrix, with its large surface area.
EPA 13 filter is engineered to capture ultrafine particulate matter, including the microscopic fraction of vehicular exhaust emissions, it operates with exceptional efficiency. Its High - Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) rating defines its mechanical filtration prowess, signifying the ability to trap particles as small as 0.3 micrometers with a minimum efficiency of 99.97%.
The EPA 13 filters feature a multi-layered design with pleated fibers and advanced pleat spacing. This system ensures minimal pressure drop and maximal particle retention. Consequently, it delivers unparalleled indoor air quality by arresting even the most elusive pollutants, such as fine particulate matter and allergens, effectively and consistently.
The Coarse filter acts as a pre-filter, preventing larger particles from clogging the subsequent stages. Active Carbon targets the gaseous compounds, and EPA 13 ensures the finest particle purification.
